Praying Christmas
“Advent” means “coming” or arrival. During the Advent season, Christians reflect on God’s arrival among us in the birth of Jesus at Christmas, and attend to how Jesus is breaking into the here-and-now of our lives in the present. This December at First Presbyterian Church, we’ll be doing this by listening to the prayers embedded in the story of Jesus’ birth in Luke 1-2. These time-worn prayers are a guide for us as we seek to receive and experience the grace birthed into the world in Christ.
So whether you’re a long-time follower of Jesus, or just beginning to explore faith, join us this December at FPC!
