Presbyterians have a long history in Cuba and First Pres is partnering with the churches in the Matanzas Presbytery. In addition to gathering for worship, the Presbyterian church is involved with caring for the needs of people in their communities by feeding the elderly, reaching out to neighbors, distributing food and medicine as available, and being a light that shines in darkness. Pastor Dopico is the pastor of the Varadero Reformed Presbyterian Church and serves as the moderator of the Matanzas Presbytery.
