Cindy joined the staff at First Pres in April , 2003, after a career spanning many areas of law enforcement, including five years as a Sergeant with the FL. D.O.T. Motor Carrier Compliance Office. She started her career at First Pres as the pastor’s assistant, became the interim administrator, and now oversees the Communications department which encompasses the many forms of communication the church uses, the campus computer network, church reservations and calendar, and the church office management. She enjoys gatherings with her family and actively pursues several hobbies. Being a Christian since childhood, and always having been active in church, she knew the opportunity to work in the church was an answered prayer. She obtained a B.A. in Christian Counseling in 2004 while working full time. With a desire to fulfill God’s call by sharing her knowledge and experience with the church; she has found purpose and joy in serving here at First Pres.

Gayle Coughanour, Director of Operations

Gayle joined the staff in October, 2002, shortly after moving to Wellington, Florida, from Wisconsin. She was the bookkeeper at a large church in Milwaukee that utilized the same financial system that First Pres uses (Shelby Systems). She has a Bachelor of Business Administration degree, majoring in finance from the University of Wisconsin – Oshkosh. She was a Credit Manager in commercial financing for many years, until she had her third child. At that time, she decided to devote her time to her children and later home-schooled them for many years. Once they started high school, she re-entered the workforce. Gayle met the love of her life, and married him (Frank) on March 5, 2011. She has two daughters, Kayla and Brenna, and a son, Aaron, and now is the step-mother to Frankie, Ben, and Jeff. Her husband and their six children, along with her relationship with Jesus Christ, are the joys of her life.

Cindy joined the staff of First Pres in August, 2000, working as an assistant in the preschool and Children’s Ministry departments. She became the receptionist/secretary in 2005, and the Pastor’s assistant on August 1, 2006. Cindy feels blessed in both her work and personal life. She is the mother of two wonderful daughters and is married to Jim, who has three children of his own. In her spare time, Cindy enjoys billiards, cooking, and reading.

Laura was born in Kirkwood, Missouri, and moved to Pompano Beach in her high school years. Music was always her passion. She often sings and plays in the rock band at her church, Tropical Sands in Palm Beach Gardens. Laura has organized and encouraged a flute choir called The Tropical Flutes, who have played for our services here at First Pres on occasion and look forward to playing here again in the future. She has a husband, Ken, a son Charlie, a three year old grandson and a one year old granddaughter. Her work experiences take her from 10 years in management; 10 years running a small business, and another 10 years working for an investment firm with a final promotion into their Accounts Payable position. Laura is here at First Pres under God’s leading. She applied on her birthday, asking God to direct her to the place He wanted her to be. Out of 100 applicants, Laura was our top candidate for the position. Laura shares, “It is wonderful to be working in an environment of “as unto the Lord” being evident through the work standards of the office staff. I truly love my job!”

Monica Holland is our new Graphic Designer at First Pres. You have already seen a lot of her work throughout the church…from menus, programs and posters to the youth, children’s and seniors’ newsletters. She also is very involved with video programming. She initially worked here as a youth intern when she was a student at Palm Beach Atlantic University. Now, she has graduated and Cindy Miller, Director of Communications, is delighted to have her to complement that department. We are all most appreciative of her creative ideas, as well as her supportive and helpful work ethic.
Monica grew up in our church. She graduated from The King’s Academy before going on to PBAU. Her parents, Susan and David, have been very active in the church over the years. We are grateful to have a young woman of such fine character and ability working in this new position at our church. |

Cindy has lived in the area since 1962. She joined the church in 1992 and has been the Kitchen Coordinator since 2003. Cindy’s daughter, Heather, lives in Rye, New York, along with a husband and two children. Besides cooking, Cindy enjoys gardening, decorating, and music appreciation. |
Edna Balducci, Kitchen Staff
Edna came in Florida in 1998, moving from Long Island, New York. She and her daughter, Frances, live together. Edna also has two sons, one in Florida, and the other in New York. She has been on staff in our kitchen since May, 2002.

Julie Barton, Kitchen Staff
Julie and her husband Gary are native Floridians. She has a daughter, a dog, and a rabbit. She began volunteering in the kitchen when her daughter started attending Kingdom Kids in the old fellowship hall. Upon completion of the new Fellowship Hall, in 1999, Julie joined the staff on a part-time basis.

Frances has been in Florida for for years. She has had a career in banking as well as office administration. She joined the kitchen staff in January, 2006.

At First Pres. David’s duties are to manage the Sexton staff of 2 men and oversee the maintenance of all vehicles, grounds, buildings and special projects. Dave was born in Waterloo, Iowa, and spent his childhood and youth in Iowa, Virginia, Illinois and Texas as his dad was a trouble shooter for a franchise company, requiring that the family move frequently. Dave attended Southern Methodist University in Dallas, graduating with a degree in Business Administration. David is married to Mary Alice, whom he met in Cairns, Australia, in 1987. They have one son, David Jr. and have been actively involved at First Pres for over 10 years. |
