Youth Program

Youth3Maura Taggart our Associate Youth Director has been serving both the Middle School and High School Programs and wow has she been doing a great job! She’s not flying solo though… our Director of Youth  “Suds” is of course actively involved with both programs as well. We hope this time of transition is as smooth as possible as we as a staff continue to seek God’s wisdom in our next step.

We really are enjoying this year and pray that you are as well. Pray for us!! We hope to see you at one or many of our programs, CREW, TEAM, 633, Living Room…or just come say hi during the week in our office!!

Any questions, concerns, or if you just want to drop off any fresh baked goods for us. Feel free to contact us at anytime!

In His Service,
Maura and Suds

We are a Family, in covenant with one another, committed to becoming more Christlike, in order to impact a wounded world, to the glory of God.

YouthActs 1:8 – Take the Beach

God has called us in Acts to go out and make disciples.

Our purpose and desire here is to train Christian leaders that are able to go out and share the good news of Jesus Christ with all those that they come into contact with.  From Middle School through College, we have 10 years to invest in students’ lives to help them understand what it means to be a disciple of the Living God.

A message from Maura Taggart, Associate Director of Youth

It is my desire to offer a safe place for students to come and enjoy a time of fellowship with their friends, as well as our leadership team. But more than that, it is my desire to walk alongside your students as they learn more about who God is and what it means to follow after Him. In a world that offers little to nothing good for our students, it is our desire to offer them the truth – that Jesus Christ longs to know them in a deep and intimate way and that he has an amazing plan for their lives.

MauraTaggartMaura was born and raised in Audubon, PA.  In the summer of 1999 her family moved to Palm Beach Gardens, where she attended Palm Beach Gardens High School, class of 2003.  It was during her time at Gardens that she was introduced to First Pres through Young Life Club.  She regularly attended Club and Team throughout her high school days.  Following graduation, Maura began volunteering with the middle school program at First Pres while attending Palm Beach Atlantic University.  At PBAU, Maura obtained a degree in History with a minor in Biblical Studies.  She was named the Middle School Program Director in the spring of 2006,  High School Program Director in June, 2008 and Associate Youth Director in fall 2009.  She is beyond blessed to be involved in ministry at First Pres and desires to lead her students into a deeper relationship with Jesus Christ.  Outside of her ministry, she enjoys living in Florida and, like her head pastor, has more than a slight interest in the outdoors, with fishing, boating, and snorkeling on the top of the list of things she enjoys.  Her favorite verses are 1 Timothy 4:12 and 2 Corin 12:9-10.
