For several years First Presbyterian Church has been an active Stephen Ministry congregation. 

What does this mean? 

Stephen Ministry is a system through which members of our church are trained and organized to help provide Christian caregiving to members of our congregation.  Stephen Ministers have gone through many hours of training and supervision to provide high quality Christian care to individuals experiencing a life crisis or challenge.

Stephen Ministry is based on the idea that all Christians are ministers.  It is a place where people with special gifts for caring ministry can use those gifts to bring Christ’s love to people in need.
