As we celebrate our 50th year as a congregation

We have affiliated with a group with whom we believe we share a commitment to the historic Christian and Reformed faith. We believe we share with the E.C.O. not only a common faith but a missional and church planting strategy toward fulfilling the Great Commission. We are committed along with many Evangelicals world wide to partnering together to reach the world for Christ. We have also embraced the Cape Town Commitment of the Lausanne Movement.

On June 16, 2012, The Tropical Presbytery of the P.C.U.S.A. released First Pres to the Evangelical Covenant Order of Presbyterians in a touchingly poignant church service. From Rev. Dr. Ron’s movements through time to the installation of officers and the solemn blessings, it was a truly powerful event in First Pres’ history.
